The Mini is the first cat I’ve had that I allow to roam free outside. (I won’t get into the reasons that motivated this choice. I’ll just film the cat at the front door some day…) Most of the times when I go outside of the house, he shows up after a few minutes, just to say hi. He comes back inside two or three times a day and he’s always home before 5pm. (I don’t want to let a black cat out at night. He’s pretty hard to see.)
The Mini’s days are a bit of a mystery. Sometimes he brings a bird back. Sometimes he chases around a yellow cat (can’t tell if he’s a friend or not). One day he brought us a black crucifix and happily chewed on Jesus and his cross while we watched in horror. My beau and I wonder: where does he go? Who does he meet? (Is he so big because somebody else feeds him?) We’ve been dreaming about a little gear system that we could put on him to track his whereabouts, some kind of GPS/WiFi gizmo, or even better, a video camera.
Someone has finally invented the Cat Cam, and I really, really want one for The Mini! This is the best reality television I’ve seen in years. Snakes! Cat ennemies! Strange houses! You wouldn’t believe the suspense. Someone should give that Mr. Lee cat his own tv channel!

Quel merveilleux lien, c’est une perspective que l’on a pas l’occasion de voir habituellement. Je crois que je vais essayer de fabriquer quelque chose comme ça pour ma Sasha-Kikine. Je dois t’avouer que je suis horriblement mémère et que ma chatte est comme moi. Elle adore entrer chez les gens et renifler chez eux. J’aimerais tant « entrer » chez mes voisins à leur insu et voir comment c’est chez eux. Mon rêve va se réaliser grace à mon espionne de chatte. Il ne me restera plus qu’à l’appeler Sasha-Kikine007….facile à retenir non ? (pour l’auditoire: c’est grâce à des photos de chats d’un refuge de Montréal que Martine avait mis sur son site, que j’ai ma petite chatte)
Laurence, si tu réussi à capter des images avec ta Sasha-Kikine, partage les avec nous, c’est vraiment différent comme perspective. Vraiment drôle, moi aussi je suis curieuse de voir où ils vont ces minets ;)

The secret day life of the Mini… Let’s see, he is home before 5 pm each day, so I think it is obvious he has a job somewhere… ;-)
My late black cat would bring back strange food items. Freshly barbequed steaks and chops, and even a whole fish once. I’d have to get rid of these, and it was always a tug of war with him while he growled just like a dog, for taking away his hard-won prize.
This is too good! I would have given anything to have one for my cat and be able to know what she really did. (As you can see I am really behind on my blog reading — sorry!)
