Living with Ed

There’s a new reality show on HGTV called Living with Ed. It’s about the complexities of sharing a life with a green guy:

TV and movie actor Ed Begley, perhaps the greenest man in Tinsel Town, rides his electric car to the Academy Awards and powers his home with the sun and his stationary bike. But Living with Ed and his environmentalist passion isn’t always a walk in the park for wife, Rachelle.

I think I’m going to do my own version of « Living with Ed ». Those of you who know my beau (whose name is Ed) could guess that the show will be about a woman who can’t warm up a croissant in the toaster oven without having to listen to precise instructions from her live-in amateur chef, who is convinced that his methods are the best.

I promise it will be more exciting than Survivor, except for the fact that I will always be the one getting eliminated… from the kitchen.

  1. Oooh, ooh, and I can do the spin-off! « Living with Ted »! Soon to be rather boring, about a guy in a cast who can’t do much for himself…

  2. Don’t forget that Survivor always has that episode where the contestants have to eat something gross.

  3. Seriously, this could open new grounds for podcasts. It harkens back to the days of webcams watching people do their everyday things but this could be edited for interestingness.

  4. tbit: I think we’re slowly getting there. This is what a lot of blogs are, really, and it won’t take long until they incorporate a lot more video (by the way, I just got a new video camera ;-). But video editing takes a lot more time then writing.

  5. This is the perfect use for the new video camera!! I’ll be able to commiserate with someone who shares my pain (instructions on how to cook / re-heat things). Of course, I can be just as guilty in this regard…
